1. Fear of Public Speaking
Fear of public speaking can make presentations, speeches, meetings and professional events feel far more threatening than they need to be. You may know your subject well but become overwhelmed by public speaking anxiety, self-consciousness or the fear of being judged when you have to speak in front of other people.
One-to-one coaching for fear of public speaking can help you understand what is driving the fear and work with the thoughts, emotions and physical responses that appear before or during a presentation.
Whether you're preparing for an important presentation, speaking at work or facing an event where you need to be heard, the focus is on helping you feel more confident, be able to stay present and reduce the anxiety in real time to a more manageable level.
3. Making a Difficult Decision
Making a difficult decision can leave you going back and forth between different options, questioning what you really want, worrying about making the wrong choice and the impact of this choice on how others will perceive you.
You may know that something needs to change but feel unable to decide what to do next, particularly when your decision affects your career, relationships, family or future.
One-to-one coaching for decision-making gives you space to step back from the pressure, untangle competing thoughts and understand what is influencing your choices. Coaching can help you explore your options, clarify where the blocks are sitting in your body and help you move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
5. Speaking Up When You're Afraid of Getting It Wrong
You might have something to say but hold yourself back because you're worried about sounding foolish, being challenged, upsetting someone or making a mistake.
This can show up in meetings, at work, in relationships or whenever you need to express an opinion that might not be well received.
One-to-one coaching can help you explore the self-doubt behind staying quiet and understand what happens when you feel exposed, uncertain or afraid of getting it wrong. The focus is on helping you find the words that resonate for you, help you trust yourself enough to express your thoughts and opinions clearly, without needing to be certain that everyone will agree with you.
7. When You're Feeling Stuck and Don't Know What to Do Next
You may know that something isn't working but have no clear idea what you want to change or where to begin. You might feel stuck in a relationship, career, decision or situation that has become difficult to navigate, even though part of you knows you cannot continue in the same way.
One-to-one coaching can give you space to step back from the situation, understand what is keeping you stuck and explore the options available to you. Together, we can make sense of where you are, identify what is getting in the way and remove the blocks so you can begin moving forward.
9. When You Can't Keep Up With Everything
When life starts to feel like one demand after another, you may find yourself constantly trying to keep up while feeling mentally and emotionally exhausted. Work pressures, family responsibilities, relationship difficulties and the everyday demands of life can leave you feeling overwhelmed, stressed and unable to switch off.
One-to-one coaching can help you understand what is contributing to your stress and overwhelm, including the expectations, pressures and patterns that may be keeping you in a constant state of doing.
The work gives you space to step back from everything you're carrying, identify what is actually demanding your attention and develop a different way of responding when life feels like too much.
2. Preparing for a Difficult Conversation
Knowing that you need to have a difficult conversation can leave you rehearsing what to say, worrying about the other person's reaction and imagining everything that could go wrong. You are likely filled with doubts and apprehensive at the potential outcome.
You may be struggling to find the right words, afraid of causing conflict or unsure how to communicate what you really need. This package can help you clarify what you want to say, understand what is making the situation feel so overwhelming and process the emotional blocks to speaking.
One-to-one coaching gives you space to work through the conversation before you have it, whether you're dealing with conflict at work, a difficult relationship conversation, a family issue or something important you've been putting off.
4. Setting a Boundary Without the Guilt
Setting boundaries can feel surprisingly difficult when you are used to keeping other people happy, avoiding conflict or putting your own needs aside.
You may know that you need to say no, ask for something to change or create more space for yourself, but feel guilty the moment you try.
One-to-one coaching can help you understand why setting boundaries feels uncomfortable and explore the thoughts, fears and patterns that make it difficult to put your needs into words.
Together, we can work through a specific boundary you need to establish, somatically process the triggers and find a way to communicate it clearly while feeling more confident about protecting your own needs.
6. Overthinking a Situation You Can't Let Go Of
When you replay a conversation, your’e analysing what you said, wondering what someone meant and imagining what might happen next. Usually, you are imagining the worst outcome.
Overthinking can make it difficult to switch off because your mind keeps searching for an answer, an explanation or a confirmation that your relationship with the other person is safe.
One-to-one coaching can help you understand what is keeping the situation alive for you and look at the thoughts, emotions and patterns that are keeping you caught in the same loop. The work can help you step back from the situation, gain a different perspective and find a way to stop the loop in real time.
8. Confidence for a Specific Situation
You may generally feel confident in yourself but notice that your confidence disappears in certain situations. Perhaps you are starting a new role, asking for what you need, meeting new people, taking on more responsibility or doing something outside your usual comfort zone.
One-to-one coaching can help you understand what is affecting your confidence in that particular situation, including self-doubt, fear of judgement or uncertainty about how you will be perceived.
Rather than trying to become a more confident person in every area of your life, the work focuses on the situation that is challenging you now, processing the emotions from the past that are triggered and helping you trust yourself so you can approach the situation with greater confidence.
10. Feeling Like You're an Imposter
You can be experienced, capable and successful and still feel as though you don't really belong or that other people will eventually realise you're not as capable as they think.
The fear of being caught out leaves you feeling anxious and this feeling is amplified when you take on something new, receive recognition or step into a more visible role.
One-to-one coaching can help you understand the cause of self-doubt and help you explore why your achievements don’t feel like proof that you are good enough.
The work can help you develop a more grounded sense of confidence in your abilities, so you can take on new challenges without constantly questioning whether you're good enough.
